Derek Jeter is busy promoting his upcoming documentary series “The Captain.” And while promoting the documentary series, the former New York Yankees captain is also getting chances to meet some former Yankees players.
Having played for over 20 years of baseball, Derek Jeter was one of the finest players in Major League Baseball. Jeter dedicated his entire professional career to the Pinstripes. And that is the major reason the Yankees fans love him to death, even after years of retirement.

Jeter was the best hitter of the game. No doubt about that. In the name of Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Joe DiMaggio, and a few others — some of the best hitters in baseball — the Yankees have been blessed with some of the best hitters to play by their side. But in terms of leadership, Jeter had no substitute. Even to date, the Yankees have named no one their captain since he retired from the game.
Derek Jeter meets Reggie Jackson, Willie Randolph, and Dave Winfield
Reggie Jackson, Willie Randolph, and Dave Winfield are few of the greatest ever to grace the ballpark for various teams. Unlike Jeter, they played for multiple MLB franchises during their professional career. But one thing was common among them, that all of them have donned the Pinstripes for at least five years.
Taking to Twitter, Derek Jeter shared a picture, in which the four of them posed together in Yankee Stadium. He captioned the picture, “had the chance to catch up with some long-time friends at Yankee Stadium.”
Although it might be a mere coincidence, the Yankees defeated their arch-rival, the Boston Red sox in a close encounter on the same day in Fenway Park. Yes! Even in the absence of Aaron Judge and Anthony Rizzo, the Yankees defeated the Red Sox on their turf.

The Yankees are playing on a completely different level. Even without two of their best hitters, the Aaron Boone-led team won the first game of the four-game series in Fenway Park. With Josh Donaldson smashing a grand slam from the plate, the Yankees have taken an early lead in the ongoing series.
