Brawls have now become an undesirable part of baseball. Every now and then, even a minute of brawl can lead to benches getting cleared and punches thrown around. Something similar happened last night in the Venezuelan Winter League. Last night, the Caribes de Anzoategui played against the Tiburones de La Guaira in the Venezuelan league. Asdrúbal Cabrera of the Caribes, a 37-year-old former MLB player, started a brawl against the Tiburones’ 28-year-old Carlos Castro.

What galvanized Cabrera to punch his fellow player is something that only he knows. But nobody expected this kind of behavior from someone as senior as Cabrera. Therefore, as soon as the former MLB champ punched him, somebody from the opposite team came and clocked Cabrera down for hitting Castro.
What led Asdrúbal Cabrera to hit his fellow player?
As soon as Castro hit his third home run of the last night’s game and went on to celebrate while running around the bases, Cabrera came from nowhere and punched him to the ground. As of now, no one knows what made Cabrera this angry about hitting his opponent, but his aggressive behavior might raise questions among the baseball community.

Castro was on the ground for several seconds after he got hit. Later, teammates of Castros came on the field as soon as the incident occurred and clocked Cabrera down for hitting their player. Cabrera completely blindsided Castro and showed him the ground, causing him to think about what had just happened to him.
Cabrera has formerly played in Major League Baseball for several teams and is currently a free agent in MLB. He is an infielder and also has been a two times all-star player. Furthermore, he helped his team win a World Series in 2019 during his second stint with the MLB team Washington Nationals.
After this incident, it might be a possibility that it was the infielder’s last game of the Venezuela Winter League.
How did the fans react to the brawl that Cabrera initiated?
Soon as the clip of Cabrera tackling Castro down to the ground went viral on social media, people started criticizing him for not playing with morals.
Always something to prove. 🙄
