The underdog story has ended! The Arizona Diamondbacks saw with their own eyes fortune leave their hands. In the most unlucky of instances, the most bizarre of things happened with the Diamondbacks. It was just one glove and one ball that ended it all. The D-Backs must be deeply regretting this, pondering how such a thing could have occurred. But as it stands, the D-backs have lost the World Series.
And they gave it away through their own hands. The dream ended for the D-Backs with 1 mistake that will live in every fan’s mind for a long time. But for the Rangers, this was the moment that they had been waiting years for. A dream they held for decades is now a reality. Texas Rangers are World Champions.

The Diamondbacks entered into this game trailing the series 1-3. They had to win this game. And for 9 innings, the D-Backs fought as hard as they could. But with every inning, it was becoming clearer that, though the Snakes had strangled the Rangers, they lacked the final knockout blow. For 6 innings, the Rangers had no hits. They had gone to first base only once. Zac Gallen had been impeccable in his pitching. But there was a problem.
The D-Backs batters weren’t doing much better. They had hits and in every inning; they had covered bases but that final hit never came. The closest moment came in the game when all three of the bases were covered, but somehow Nathan Eovaldi managed to get the next batter out. So it was clear that luck was slipping through the hands of the Snakes. Well, if only it was just luck that slipped tonight.
Then came the 9th inning of the game. Rangers were leading 1-0 having scored in 7th. It was then that something truly shocking happened. After a hit, the ball rolled across to D-Backs Alek Thomas, and he went there to pick. But the ball somehow rolled under his glove and went back to the end of the field. The Rangers, meanwhile, scored 2 runs from this mistake.

The only sound that one could hear was the sound of the Rangers celebrating their win. The World Series is theirs, at last. After years of wishing and multiple heartbreaks, they have done it.
