No matter how hard they try, the LA Angels can’t simply catch a break. Last night was a special one for the Angels’ star players Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Patrick Sandoval. The team hosted a special pre-game ceremony before they played against the Miami Marlins. However, little did the Angels know that a ceremony to honor their star players would turn into an absolute nightmare for them.

Yes, that’s precisely what happened when the Angels’ Twitter account posted about the trio’s ceremony. The team’s consistent subpar play yet again this season has the fans in anguish, making them forget about any achievement by any of the players. 

Why did the LA Angels throw a pre-game ceremony?

For those unversed, before the 2023 regular season started, baseball players from around the world partook in the World Baseball Classic. Notably, Ohtani led his team Japan to win, Trout’s team USA finished in second place, and Sandoval showed his iconic pitching style playing for team Mexico.

And most recently, Ohtani, Trout, and Sandoval got their All-Tournament Team selections, a distinction given to the top performers. Hence, the Angels hosted a pre-game ceremony to celebrate them.

However, it became an absolute nightmare as the team once again lost the game and brought their total no of losses almost equal to their total wins of the season.

How are the fans reacting to Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout’s special moment?

Last night was to commemorate the outstanding play shown by the three of them in the WBC. But so far, despite having the three of them together in one team, the Angels are playing one of their worst seasons. Hence, the fans are beyond angry with the entire team, wanting to either sell the team or trade as many players as possible.

The fans are targeting the Angels management responsible for the team’s subpar play yet again despite having some of the best on the team. After all, a lone chick cannot scatter grains.
