Playoffs have begun, and the New York Yankees are about to play against the Cleveland Guardians. Yankee Stadium is going to be the spectator of the first game of the ALDS series. When all this is happening in New York City, former Yankee legend Derek Jeter also appears to be in town.

In the past ten seasons, the New York Yankees have made it to playoffs 7 times. While they got 5 playoff series wins but no championship ring. They won their last Championship in the year 2009, which also was Derek Jeter’s final and fifth World Series Championship of his twenty-year-long career in Major League Baseball.

Being excited would be an understatement for the Yankee fans, especially for the fans of “The Captain” Derek Jeter. Jeter has always been liked by the media. And the fans have also loved and supported him his entire career. 

What is the cause of fans’ rising excitement for Derek Jeter all of a sudden?

Derek Jeter had shown his love for his fans previously and decided to give a peek into his life every now and then. Therefore, when the shortstop arrived in NYC, he decided to let his fans know. 

He took it to Twitter to post a picture of him in his car, with the caption“October in NY just feels right!!!” Having Mr. November in New York when the only team he played for is about to begin the ALDS series had to excite people.

And so it did. People over Twitter started stating their own speculations and wishes for Jeter. They thought that he finally is becoming a part of Yankees management or is in NYC to watch the series. Or maybe something else, but all in all, all of them are pretty excited to have Jeter in NYC, especially at this time. 

Fans have to say a lot about Jeter!

Well, he sure is!

And everybody else as well.

But does he want to?

He is the GOAT!

Maybe he will!

It sure is not the same without him!
