In fact, he recently paid the ultimate tribute to Shohei Ohtani

Drake also made a special Madison Square Garden entrance alongside $685,000,000 New York Yankees stars. The “Hotline Bling” singer made his way to the stage alongside Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Now he has honored Ohtani with a cool gesture.

Drake is well known for celebrating top sporting teams and athletes. He has spoken in favor of several stars and also supported teams as well. Most recently, the 5-time Grammy-winning rapper paid tribute to Shohei Ohtani by donning his All-Star jersey. This is a true compliment as he honors the Los Angeles Angels star. Ohtani is having yet another sensational season. Jomboy Media shared a video of Drake walking around in the Japanese star’s jersey on Twitter. 

In a Tweet, they said, “Drake spotted rocking a Shohei Ohtani All-Star Game jersey”. As the rapper walked around in his Ohtani jersey, fans gathered around to get a glimpse of him. But the Canadian star quickly got into his car and left the scene to avoid getting caught up in a possible commotion.

This was another highlight of Ohtani’s superstar status as Drake wore his jersey. The Angels star has enjoyed a stellar season thus far and has kept his team in the playoff picture. Furthermore, his individual performance has been absolutely top-notch as he leads the race for a prestigious award.

Ohtani leads the MVP race

It is no surprise that Shohei Ohtani is leading the MVP race at the moment. His individual performances have kept the Angels alive in games they seemed destined to lose. Furthermore, he has hit 40 home runs already and collected more than 150 pitching strikeouts.

Experts predict the Japanese star to win the award, and he seems to be the consensus pick. As long as Ohtani avoids injuries, he has a strong chance to take home his second MVP trophy.
