In the current MLB spectrum, the name of Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani syncs with the best. The player from Japan has become a driving force in the league because of his exceptional talent. And he has dominated the scenes since his debut, leading to his ever-increasing admiration and following. It has also helped Ohtani attract brands adding to his skyrocketing earnings, including $500 million free agency predictions.

Though the 2021 MVP is associated with many brands. But his deal with few has made the highlight of his career. One such brand is Boss. The player has been associated with the brand for years now. He recently showed, Why!

Many players with a huge following attract a lot of interest from the fans. Much of their beautiful looks and Shohei Ohtani tops that chart. He showed the reason for it while entering his BOSS sweatshirt. He looked great and was a center of attraction as quoted by MLB Life, “Shohei Ohtani arriving in Oakland for the Angels-Athletics game tonight.” 

It is the brand with which Ohtani has been associated since 2020. According to mr-mag.com, Ohtani had expressed happiness upon signing with the Boss. He said, “I am very delighted as well as excited to partner with BOSS, which always has been a sophisticated and innovative brand for me,”

The $4.8 billion company has added to his earnings from the endorsements, estimated to be around least $35 million this year. And with 30 Million as an extension to his contract, they estimate him to earn an MLB-record $65 million a year, which is huge for any athlete.

Money is not the only reason behind this association. Ohtani loves the brand. He said upon his signing,” As a professional baseball player, I constantly travel all year round. With BOSS I will now feel more confident and comfortable when traveling.”

The same comfort was visible in his visit to the Athletics. But it did not last longer as the Angels lost another game, losing out the playoffs qualification chances.

It was a great start to the season for the Angels. Before the all-star break, they were looking and playing like a playoff team. But things have changed since then. They are now fourth in the AL West and 11.5 games behind the wild card spot. They have lost three of the last five games and are in a big problem. And their latest loss against the Oakland Athletics has further added to their misery.

Given that Ohtani has not played a postseason game since his MLB debut, it is not a good sign for him. Moreover, it has happened even after his brilliant contribution to the plate. Though many games are to be played, and if the Angels play better, they can make a comeback
