Arlington’s streets transformed into a vast theater on Friday. Just like that Wednesday evening when the Texas Rangers won the World Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks with a 5-0 win. Finally holding their first Commisioner’s trophy in more than 60 years of existence called for an epic celebration. Thousands of Rangers fans joined the players and management in Arlington’s district for the victory parade. But one particular name captured the hearts of fans.
It was the first time Texas celebrated with all its heart. Their current GM, Chris Young, didn’t just join the parade, he was completely immersed in the celebration. However, it’s not just his game strategies that won everybody’s hearts.

Chris Young joined hands with the Rangers on December 4, 2020. From then to now, the 44-year-old has done everything to benefit the club. Young has had an amazing transformation from a pitcher to a General Manager, accurately blending a strategic mindset into baseball operations. However, when it comes to taking credit, he is as humble as they come. It will always be collective efforts that he counts and he once again made the same gesture in the parade that stole attention.
Classy move from Texas Rangers GM Chris Young to invite former GM Jon Daniels' kids to participate in the World Series parade.

A recent tweet from USA Today’s Bob Nightengale went viral after the epic procession that detailed Chris Young’s incredible gesture towards the former president of baseball operations. “Jon Daniels’ fingerprints are all over this organization. None of us are here without him”.
Young invited the kids of Jon Daniels to the World Series Parade, something the former GM had always dreamed of achieving. At the time of his joining in 2005, Daniels was the youngest General Manager in the history of MLB at 28 years old. The veteran skipper may now work for the Tampa Bay Rays but his undeniable contribution to the Rangers organization brought on Young’s heartfelt acknowledgement.
In a recent podcast appearance on ‘Baseball Isn’t Boring,’ the 46-year-old told the hosts how he was jealous of the current organization. Before the team let go of Daniels in 2022, he had hoped to bring a championship to Texas. He’d always thought they would do it together. But fate had other plans.
The losing streak finally over, Arlington was abuzz with huge fan gatherings.
