The fervent spirit of a lifelong athlete is not so easily extinguished. It is a flame that refuses to flicker out, even with the passage of time. This sentiment especially rings true in the world of sports, where some refuse to let their age impede their athletic genius.?Consider the legendary New York Yankees veteran Bartolo Colon in the same category. A former pitcher who had brief stints with numerous MLB teams.

Despite being released from the Major League in 2018, Colon refused to let go of his love for the sport, continuing to play even in the minor leagues for the next two years. In 2020, at 47 years young, he signed on with Acereros de Monclova in the Mexican League and has been playing with fervor ever since. And now, even as he approaches 50, the former Yankee has his sights set on continuing his baseball journey.
