Having met 20 years ago and gotten engaged, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck called off their wedding just before the big day arrived. They went their separate ways, never imagining life would bring them together again. Perhaps the other people they dated in the meantime were only to be life-learning experiences.

With Alex Rodriguez, some have speculated the reason for the couple’s eventual break-up. From rumors of A-Rod’s infidelity to COVID-19 ruining wedding plans, the most obvious reason can be guessed to be the prolonged engagement. The ex-couple did not get married for almost two years, eventually breaking things off. Having learned this lesson, J-Lo did not want to repeat the same mistake with Ben Affleck. Especially after losing a chance with him two decades ago.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live in January, promoting her movie Shotgun Wedding, Lopez opened up about her wedding to Kimmel. “I don’t know if you know this but 20 years ago we were supposed to get married. And it kinda all fell apart back then. I still had a little PTSD, so I was like ‘Is this happening? Is this really happening?’ “The wedding was so stressful and one day Ben just says, ‘Fu*k it, let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight.'”

While the couple later held a ceremony for their family, they will always remember their Vegas wedding first! On the other hand, things also seem to be going well for A-Rod and his lady love.

Alex Rodriguez and Jac Cordeiro Still Going Strong

While the former slugger has been romantically linked to a number of women, A-Rod has only been married once. But that relationship ended in 2008 and today, the A-Rod Corp owner seems to have found a perfect match in fitness guru Jac Cordeiro.
