The woes in Oakland continue. It has been a rollercoaster year for what was once a stellar team. After team owner John Fisher announced that the Athletics would be moving down to Las Vegas, fans have been in chaos. From demands of new owners?to a ?reverse boycott?, fans are letting the team know exactly how they feel about this new decision. While it’s not just the moving news that has created discontent, Fisher has long had a fraught relationship with fans.
Just recently, weeks after attendance numbers hit a new low, 27,000 of them stormed the Coliseum with more rage directed at the front office. However, the very next day, things looked drastically different.

The numbers are not on the good side, however. The A?s had been on a roll recently, winning seven straight games against their opponents. While the league-best Tampa Bay Rays brought things down a notch with their latest victory, this loss wasn?t the only concern. Two nights ago, thousands of angry fans stormed the ballpark with their ?Reverse Boycott? slogans and thundering roars of ?Sell the team!?, louder than ever before. Just 24 hours later, not even half of that population was to be found at the ballpark.

Talkin? Baseball shared a clip of the almost empty stadium that shows nary an angry fan in sight. Empty seats are more highlighted than the actual seats taken.
While the A?s rallied to win against the Rays, the Tampa Bay team snapped their seven-game winning record. One special thing about the first team in the AL East, who had been in something of a slump, is that they always get themselves back up. They?re the only team without three consecutive losses this season and have kept fans mostly happy.
But the situation in Oakland is a little different.
Baseball Twitter thinks the Coliseum should be completely empty
For many, the handful of fans at last night?s game was a handful too many. Talkin? Baseball?s tweet received comments from furious fans who demanded everyone stay home.

should be 0, show what fisher could have and continue the boycott

I wanna see a game with no fans. Someone should start a movement online. It would show the power of the fans and how much they need the fans. Oakland deserves better. Speaking from experience when I lost my Chargers.

Some thought the ?reverse boycott? may have been for nothing.
So the “reverse boycott” was useless

Do you guys not get the point of the reverse boycott…

Overall, no one was too happy with the outcome.
And that’s why they’ll be the Las Vegas A’s very soon
