Apart from a good start with the score, Carter at 21 years and 59 days has become the 5th youngest player in MLB history to hit an RBI in Game 1 of the World Series per MLB journalist Sarah Langs.
at 21 years & 59 days, Evan Carter is the 5th-youngest player with an RBI in Game 1 of the World Series, older than only:
1996 Andruw Jones: 19 y, 180 d (5 RBI)
1946 Joe Garagiola: 20 y, 236 d

Others on the list are 40s star Joe Garagiola, Padres’ powerhouse Juan Soto, and most recently, Soto’s teammate shortstop Xander Bogaerts in 2013.
Ever since joining the Rangers, the talented Carter has received praise from all quarters. According to ESPN.com, when Bruce Bochy, the Rangers manager, was asked about Cater, he responded, “He plays the game you want your guys to play. Have fun. Play with joy. He has that innocence about him you love. Doesn’t matter where you play him or where you hit him, he just loves playing baseball, and he’s playing it like he did two or three years ago when he was playing legion ball.” Evan’s journey so far has been inspiring.

Carter’s baseball journey began in high school and by the 2020s draft when the Rangers selected him. His maturity and confidence were noticed in the Minor Leagues and because of that, the youngster was quickly promoted to the Majors. More so, he was promoted even when there was no injury in the main squad, highlighting the trust he has gained in a short time.
Ever since, Carter has shown exceptional plate discipline with a best-in-baseball chase rate of 9% in contrast to the league’s 30%. On top of that, a regular-season OBP of .413 and a post-season OBP of .436 has been nothing short of impressive.
