Players get into these situations while batting, pitching or even fielding. Most recently, a top college player was involved in an incident with his bat that left fans baffled.

Vanderbilt Baseball star Enrique Bradfield Jr. lost his bat in a recent game
Enrique Bradfield Jr. is a top college prospect. His defense and speed are attributes that have gained him a place within the top 20 of MLB.com’s top prospects for 2023. But there are certain concerns about his ability to bat and whether it will translate to the MLB. But most recently, Bradfield Jr. was involved in a bizarre batting incident.
While he was hitting, he swung at a pitch and most of his bat came flying off. The young outfielder was left with just the handle in his hand. SportsCenter shared a video of the incident on Twitter.

In a tweet, they said, “Enrique Bradfield Jr. breaks his aluminum bat 😳”. It was truly a rare occurrence, especially considering the high quality of bats available today. Even the commentators were left surprised by it.

In the video, you can see Bradfield Jr, walking back to the dugout and his expression tells the full story. Even he was shocked at what had just taken place.

A college batter’s bad luck leads to a bizarre incident
During a game against Mississippi Delta Community College, a batter’s bad luck led to his out. He ducked at a wild pitch thrown by Mississippi Delta Community College pitcher GW Pigott.
But the ball went over his head, connected with the bat, and looped upwards and the catcher made a diving catch. This was a truly odd incident that unluckily led to the batter getting out.
