The Los Angeles Angels’ megastar Mike Trout is often seen stepping onto a different kind of green – the fairway. His highly anticipated golf course project, Trout National, is nearing completion, and his enthusiasm about it is insurmountable. In a recent interview with Foul Territory, Trout spoke all about working with Tiger Woods and his passion project worth over $300 million. 

Imagine being able to collaborate with the most legendary golfer of all time – Tiger Woods. Trout has had the opportunity to do that. And there is all the reason to believe that great things are about to happen when the 11x All Star himself said, “It’s coming along great.” 

Mike Trout Finds It “Cool” To Work With Tiger Woods 

In his conversation with the folks from Foul Territory Trout beamed, referring to the course’s progress. He then underscored the unique experience of working with Tiger Woods. He shared, “having Tiger on the side…it’s just pretty cool.”  Trout and Woods, two titans in their respective sports, discussing the layout of each hole, brainstorming ideas, and shaping Trout National together must be quite an experience. 

He talks about exactly that at length and his words exactly sum up his emotions about his multi-million project. Trout said, “It’s cool to you know drive around the course with him and you know go hole by hole and just say hey what do you think about this what do you think about that? Just uh, hey I play this whole you know bucket list, yeah just stuff like that. It’s uh,

and finally we’re starting to get grass coming in and it’s uh it’s moving quick it’s a lot of stuff but I I’ve enjoyed every minute of it I can’t wait till it uh opens you know..“ Trout’s passion for golf is not a secret. That said, he openly credits Tiger Woods as the inspiration for picking up the clubs apart from being in baseball.

He has shared how years on the course have refined his appreciation for the sport, allowing him to envision the ideal golfing experience.  As of now, he’s translating that vision into reality, incorporating his knowledge and enthusiasm into every aspect of Trout National with the help of the best – Tiger Woods. 

A Hometown Haven on the Horizon – Trout Nation 

Located in Vineland, New Jersey, Trout National has a special place in the slugger’s heart.  Building a state-of-the art course in his hometown enables him to give back to the community that nurtured him. Trout’s interview reflects his eagerness for the project’s completion, mentioning how “finally we’re starting to get grass coming in” and his excitement for the grand opening “at the end of 25” with the help of Woods.
