Those peculiarities have quickly given rise to a major question: Is Blake Snell about to step into the Bronx?

The links between Snell and the Yankees have cooled down ever since the ace rejected the $150 million offer from the Bombers. While the Pinstripes were reportedly done with adding more starting pitchers after their deal with Marcus Stroman, one must remember to never say never in baseball.

The New York Yankees clubhouse looks better than ever

Spring Training is finally kicking into gear. After a few months of backstage antics, baseball is finally getting ready to return to the ballpark. Currently, the Pinstripes reside in their Spring Training facility at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. So, like every year, the Yankees have once again released pictures of their clubhouse. But this time, there’s something slightly different. 

In that impeccable locker room, one can see something is missing. Right between Gerrit Cole and Marcus Stroman, one locker room is empty. While things like this are common, this time the fans have decided to believe in a miracle. Despite links between Snell and the Yankees being cool, the Yankee Nation has begun to speculate that a deal could be in place soon.

The fact that Snell remains a free agent is not lost on anyone. While the Bombers haven’t made much headway, neither has any other team. As a result, the fans still believe that the Cy Young winner could form a strong one-two punch with another Cy Young winner, Gerrit Cole. This is after Snell’s recent strong links with the LA Angels rocked the baseball.
