In the current MLB generation, Aaron Judge is the name that echoes with the best. Since his debut, Judge has become a force to contend with at the diamond. As a result, he has garnered many accolades, including a whopping AL record of 62 home runs. The question raised is: what sets him apart and makes him unique? Although seemingly straightforward, the answer to this question is far from simple.

Dusty Baker Appreciates Disciplined Aaron Judge

There is no doubt Aaron Judge overshadows others as a batter. Having played well over the years, Judge has become a different player, making him the 2022 AL MVP for his record-breaking season. Though an injury halted his run this season, he has an astonishing presence on the plate even after it.

With the MLB world also knowing this, adding to it, Rosenthal and Manager Dusty Baker conversed to find a gist of it. FOX Sports: MLB shared a clip of the conversation, which read, “Dusty Baker talks with @Ken_Rosenthal about what it’s like to see his team pitch against Aaron Judge.”

The conversation started with a question, “Aaron Judge at the plate, Dusty Baker. How do you pitch to this guy?” Baker, who has seen Judge growing over the years, had an interesting answer to it, ” Well, I don’t know. I don’t think the world knows.”

Baker then explained his answer, saying, “But you know, he just got to mix it up on him. You know, he used to have a hole, but he’s closed that hole up. And you know, now he’s very disciplined at the plate and he swings his strikes. And I see that one right there. That was a close bitch. He swung at that a couple of years ago, but, you know, I mean, this guy’s learning. He learned how to not only slug but learned how to hit.”

Though his comment came during a game in which Judge struggled, it does not imply that he has lost his charm. He still leads the team and holds a top place in the league.
