After months of waiting, America’s most awaited pastime is finally here. Although the regular season games are yet to start, spring training is providing enough entertainment for baseball fans. Last night, the Pittsburgh Pirates clashed against the Baltimore Orioles at LECOM Park. The game was about to end; the winner was already clear. But that’s when the climax ensued.
Thanks to the players and their love for the game, the game went on for the whole nine innings. Aside from embracing the warm Florida and Arizona sun, all players stood through the bottom of the ninth inning on the diamond for their love of the game. The game was technically over before the bottom of the ninth, and umpires also left the field. However, both teams wanted to continue playing. And they did so without any umpire or pitch clock on the field. It was indeed a moment of pure love for baseball and entertainment, which left the fans craving for more moments like this.
