May has been a big month for the New York Yankees. The team has picked up some crucial wins and climbed closer to the top of the AL East. But during some of the team’s recent series, there have been some incidents as well. Most recently, Yankees manager Aaron Boone shared an update on a controversial pitcher, leaving fans with mixed opinions. 

During the series against the Toronto Blue Jays, two incidents took place. Aaron Judge was accused of cheating and possibly sign-stealing but was proven innocent. In the second incident, a Yankees pitcher was banned for 10 games for sticky substances. Boone recently offered a positive update on this suspended pitcher but fans have shown mixed reactions.

New York Yankees pitcher Domingo German will return on Monday

Domingo German has gotten into trouble this season. He was ejected while pitching against the Blue Jays for using sticky substances. Furthermore, earlier in the season, he found himself in a similar situation but was let off with a warning after washing his hands. Most recently, Yankees manager Aaron Boone provided an update on German.

He said that the pitcher will return on Monday for the Bronx Bombers’ series against the Seattle Mariners. Talkin’ Yanks shared the update via Twitter. 

In a Tweet, they said, “Aaron Boone just told us that Domingo German will return Monday, which is the first game of a series in Seattle”. German has been a quality starting pitcher for the Yankees at a time when injuries have depleted their bullpen.

The reactions to his return have been mixed. 

Some fans are calling him a cheater and don’t want him back.

Other fans are looking forward to his return. 

German will slot back into the rotation upon his return. But in recent days, the Yankees have enjoyed some other positive updates surrounding their bullpen. Luis Severino returned to the mound and looked good. Furthermore, there was another positive update about a star pitcher for the Bombers.

Carlos Rodon has returned to New York

In a positive update, $162 million star pitcher Carlos Rodon has returned to New York to rehab with the team. Although he may not return all that soon, it is a big step forward in his recovery.

Rodon has reportedly been throwing from 120 feet and will be looking to start throwing off a mound soon. It will be interesting to see how the Yankees’ bullpen looks when it finally reaches full strength.
