“Doesn’t Even Entertain My Delusions!”- Jennifer Lopez Spilled Alex Rodriguez’s Stone Cold Reaction to Her Challenge in 2018

Alex Rodriguez has dated a number of women over the years. And a lot of these relationships were with high-profile women, which ended up making the headlines. However, his relationship with Jennifer Lopez was probably the most covered by the media. A-Rod and JLo were a power couple during their 4-year relationship.

While they were dating, they’d often be seen going out together. But JLo once talked about an interesting part of her relationship with Alex Rodriguez that people didn’t know about.

JLo was very competitive, but Alex Rodriguez didn’t take her seriously:

In 2018, while Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were love birds, JLo said that she was very competitive with her then-fiance. She admitted this during her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. And further explained that her boyfriend didn’t take her challenges seriously. While working out, she’d challenge A-Rod, but he wouldn’t react to the challenges.

Lopez said “We never challenge each other side-by-side. Like, if we go to like UCLA, we’ll be doing the stairs or something. You know, in my mind I’m like killing it. But here’s the thing, he just doesn’t even entertain my delusions. Like I’ll say it, Baby I feel like I can beat you, and he’s like nothing, no reaction.”

But it seems like A-Rod rejected JLo’s challenges for a reason. During the chat, Kimmel said that if A-Rod won, he’d be in trouble with JLo, but if he lost, JLo would tell everybody that she beat him.

So there was really no way for him to win in either situation. And his stoic reactions to JLo’s challenge may have just been a way to get out of the situation.

Where are A-Rod and JLo now?

A-Rod and JLo broke up in April 2021 and decided that they were better as friends. The two have both moved on and are currently in other relationships. JLo is married to Ben Affleck and Rodriguez is currently dating fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro.
