Alex Rodriguez’s Rumored Affair With Madonna Triggered His Daughters’ Godfather to Give an Explosive Truth to the MLB Icon

Alex Rodriguez is one of the best baseball players to have ever stepped into a ballpark. As a baseball star, he has dated several high-profile women over the years but has only been married once. The Yankee star met Scurtis in the late 90s and married her in 2002. 

They seemed happy at first but issues popped up in their relationship later on. Scurtis eventually filed for divorce in 2008, just 6 years into their marriage. Their divorce was caused by a number of issues. But one of A-Rod’s close confidants blamed pop icon Madonna for the divorce.

Dodd Romero, the godfather of Alex Rodriguez’s children, blamed Madonna for the Yankees star’s divorce

Cynthia Scurtis filed for divorce from Alex Rodriguez in 2008, with a number of different issues leading to that decision. But Dodd Romero, A-Rod’s former trainer and the godfather of his two children blamed Madonna for the divorce. In an interview with New York Post, Romero blamed A-Rod’s reported relationship with the pop icon for the divorce. He also mentioned that Rodriguez was losing sight of what is important.

According to New York Post, Romero said, “He’s more infatuated with the fact he’s with an icon instead of realizing what’s important, which is family and truth.” He further said, “Alex [is acting like] he wants a divorce.”

There have been numerous sources that spoke of the relationship between A-Rod and Madonna. But neither of them has ever confirmed that it actually took place. The divorce left a strain on the relationship between Rodriguez and his ex-wife. But they decided to put their differences aside and co-parent their two children together. Luckily they have since managed to mend their relationship and have moved on from the bitter split.

Both A-Rod and Scurtis have moved on from their divorce and are seeing other people. Scurtis is happily married to real estate advisor Angel Nicolas. Rodriguez, on the other hand, is currently dating fitness guru Jaclyn Cordeiro. It’s nice to see that the two have gotten over their divorce and are now close as friends and co-parents.
