Most recently, Sharlee revealed a trick that her father uses to help her when she’s upset. 

Both of the Jeter siblings have experienced enormous success thanks to their parent’s guidance. Derek experienced success as a superstar baseball player and Sharlee as the President of the Turn 2 Foundation. Their success came as a result of their tough mentality and discipline. Both Jeter siblings have undergone rigorous procedures to hone their crafts, especially in their childhoods. Their father used a special tactic to calm his daughter down when she was unhappy or upset as a child.

Sharlee Jeter reveals a question that her father asks her when she’s upset

Feeling upset or sad about something is a completely natural thing in life. But it helps to have people around you that will cheer you up and help you beat that feeling. Most recently, Sharlee Jeter shared an Instagram Story highlighting a question her father asks her when she’s unhappy. The question is, “Do you want to vent or do you want advice?” It is truly an amazing question to ask a person who is upset as they can communicate their need at that moment.

In the Story, Sharlee further talked about it, saying, “My dad has been using this for years when we talk. It has been very helpful. #BESTDADEVER”. This is a tactic that Sanderson Jeter uses to calm down his daughter and get closer to what’s making her upset.

But even Derek Jeter credits his father and mother for a lot of his success. The New York Yankees legend says that his family stopped him from becoming cocky after winning his 5th championship. Furthermore, he wants to emulate his own parents while raising his children.

Derek Jeter wants to pass on his parent’s lessons to his daughters

Over the years, Derek Jeter has credited his parents for his success many times. Furthermore, he has also said that he will pass on his parent’s lessons to his own daughters. Additionally, the Yankees legend is fully committed to being around for as much as possible. That is why Derek will not take roles that require a time commitment and will never be an MLB manager. Both he and his sister truly benefitted from their upbringing and were able to achieve magnificent feats.
