The shortstop and outfielder for the San Diego Padres, Fernando Tatis Jr., once talked about the night he got to know about his deal with the Padres. The Silver Slugger Award Winner signed with the Padres in 2020 and became an all-star player the following year.
Tatis Jr. suffered a wrist injury in the off-season, and because of that, he has not played in this year’s MLB season.

Recently, the young star got tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs and is now facing a suspension for the same.
How did Fernando Tatis Jr. get to know about his deal with Padres?
Tatis Jr. is one of the brightest players in Major League Baseball. He signed a contract with San Diego Padres for $340 million for 14 years in 2020. Also, he got a signing bonus of 10 million dollars.
In a video with GQ Sports, Tatis Jr. talked about how he spent his first million dollars. He also talked about how he got the news of his deal with the Padres.
He said, “It was almost midnight when my dad gave me the news like, ‘hey, we’re settled, you’re going into pros. We have a done deal.'”
In addition to how he got the news, he said, “You can feel that transition from my father to me knowing that he’s still the boss, but now I’m the one stepping forward and coming to another country just to make a dream come true so I can help my people is definitely the push I get every single day.”
Tatis Jr is one of the youngest and a shining star and was on his way to achieving many awards and breaking many records as well.
But that does not seem to be happening for him until his suspension of 80 games by MLB is over.

In the last week, Fernando Tatis Jr. got tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs. He got tested positive for taking clostebol, which is an anabolic drug.
