Has Anthony Volpe’s Parm dinner highlighted a problem in a coaching unit?
Yankees’ multiple defeats in recent games have put the coaching units under scrutiny. And when Rookie Anthony Volpe performed better after a change in his stance, without any support from the Coaching staff, the problem was highlighted. It reflected a severe gap between the players and the coaches, which is against the coach-player relationship. Jomboy addressed the same in their latest tweet.
It read, “The chicken parm situation was definitely a terrible look for the Yankees hitting coaches. Not once in 2.5 months of struggle did they say “hey let’s watch film from when you were hitting well and see if there’s any easy noticeable differences” That was a damning update for the staff.”

Notably, Volpe found a loophole in his stance that made him struggle at the plate. Though he discovered it and corrected it to perform better, the lack of support from the hitting coach raised eyebrows. It put the entire working of the Yankees coaching staff under scrutiny. The Yankees fans also agreed to this claim after a poor season.

The Yankees fans have agreed to the lack of effort of the coaching staff. Reflecting on the same, they added their reactions. Many fans asked why they did not address it earlier, while others thanked the Chicken Parm incident for helping the good. Here are a few of the responses on the same line.
Please ask Boone about the hitting coaches or at the very least, how much control he has over hiring/firing player improvement coaches

This combined with the fact that the best player on your team has his own hitting coach, not exactly a proud endorsement of team coaching

I love that, no matter how badly this season ends up, "The Chicken Parm Affair" will forever be a canonical part of Yankees lore.

Few fans also think that it’s only the narrative!
The narrative has been “how do the coaches not see this” what if they wanted him to have a straight forward stance?
