New York Yankees are having quite a season in the current MLB season. If not for their left fielder, Joey Gallo, the Pinstripes have nothing to worry about for the rest of the season. Notably, while the Yankees are putting on remarkable performances in the ballparks, Gallo might be the only player who has not played to his potential.
Not only this year, but since Gallo joined the Yankees, he has not played his best game for The Bronx Bombers. Recently, the Yankees left fielder opened up about his struggles and the poor season he is having right now.

Gallo has hit only 12 home runs in 81 games he played this season. The Yankees slugger has recorded only 37 hits in the current season, while his fellow Yankee Aaron Judge has more home runs (41) than his number of hits (37). Notably, the numbers are very disappointing for Joey Gallo and the Yankees.
Joey Gallo on his failures at the New York Yankees
Joey Gallo, as a player, might have been a failure at the New York Yankees. But Joe Gallo, as a human being, has won hearts with his recent interview with Lindsey Adler of The Athletic. The Yankees left fielder did not even hesitate to accept that his tenure in the Bronx has not been a memorable one.
Gallo also admitted that the Bronx is a tough place not to play well. Because the Yankees fans are very aggressive in nature, they would not hesitate to boo their own players.
“This is a tough place to not play well,” Gallo said to The Athletic. “It’s hard to deal with, and at the end of the day, you want to make fans happy and proud. So when you are understandably getting not-good feedback from them on a constant basis, it’s tough. It doesn’t make you feel good about yourself…”
Joey Gallo isn’t wearing another uniform yet, but it’s clear that his time with the Yankees is coming to an end. I spoke with him yesterday about his struggles over the last year and what he’s learned from the experience: https://t.co/IB2vGGbUKw

Given his continuous poor outings from the plate, this might be the last season for Gallo with the Yankees.
“I feel bad,” Gallo said. “It’s something I’m gonna have to really live with for the rest of my life. It’s going to be tough. I didn’t play well, I didn’t live up to expectations. And that’s a tough pill to swallow,” Joey Gallo added.
