Bryce Harper?s dream journey has reached an unexpected end. While the Philadelphia Phillies were supposed to fight for the World Series trophy this season, the Arizona Diamondbacks destroyed their dream. Though the former team was filled with more experienced players and talented newcomers, the rookie-based team of the D-backs took the trophy. However, a recent report shows this hasn?t deteriorated the internal relationships of the Phillies.

Though Bryce Harper started the postseason with a bang, eventually, he collapsed in front of the Snakes? rising power. But this hasn?t made the team owner doubt his abilities. Instead, he expressed a different opinion about Harper.

The Phillies are now enjoying their offseason. Though Harper, after losing the NLCS Game 7, expressed that he felt like he had let down the team and the City of Philadelphia, the team owner John Middleton expressed a completely different view. About letting down the fans, the owner said, ?I have never seen an athlete in any sport who resonates more with the Philadelphia fanbase more than Bryce.?

Recently, Middleton appeared for an interview with the USA TODAY Sports. Discussing his team’s star slugger, the owner revealed, ?He?s gone out of his way in terms of complimenting the fans and talking about how much he likes it here. Hey, what fanbase doesn?t like to hear that? But of all the fanbases that like to hear that, I?m sure the Philadelphia fanbase wants to hear it as much if not more than the most.?

After showering these compliments on the star player of the season, he concluded with, ?It?s really remarkable.? Fortunately, the team and the fans recognized the effort the player put into leading the team to the NLCS.

However, the World Series is not the only thing that Harper missed this season. He has given up on another potent opportunity that he may achieve in the future.
