A few days ago, the Yankees and Judge ruled out surgery for his right big toe. This kind of injury is rare in baseball and takes much longer to heal than other body parts, but recover it will. However, the update technically says that the offseason may say otherwise, while a recent surgery is out of the cards. While this has dashed fans’ hopes for a quick return, Judge refuses to be anything but optimistic.

?We?re doing great,? the captain told SNY. After Judge’s 2018 wrist injury took longer than expected to heal, no one wants to put a set date for his return this time around. Despite the outfielder playing catch to keep his throwing arm in shape, team manager Aaron Boone refuses to guarantee anything. However, Judge’s statement from Tuesday turned the situation for fans upside down.?
