The New York Yankees 2023 MLB season has reached an end. With their Sunday game defeat, even the slimmest chance to qualify for the Playoffs has gone. This heartbreaking news has upset the fans. Even the Yankees captain as he never faced this situation since he took responsibility of the team. While expressing his attitude towards their season, he echoed the words of another Yankees Captain.

Though the Bronx Bombers’ World Series Championship era has gone after 2009, they never missed the Playoffs, except for 2016. However, the record is even broken with their missing of the Playoffs this year. Indeed, Aaron Judge can’t gobble this fact with ease. So, he expressed his point of view during an interview after the game that sounds the same as Derek Jeter‘s.

Since Aaron Judge joined the New York Yankees, the team has never won a World Series. That’s unfortunate enough for a potential player like Judge, who even reaches milestones with injuries. This year, the Yankees Captain aimed for the World Series, but that hope shattered on Sunday. With utmost frustration, the 5x All-Star expressed his determination to win, “I’ll tell you guys every year if I’m not talking to you after a Championship. It’s Failure.”

These words clearly show his emotions and desire for the World Series Championship, but also show how his emotions match another legendary captain of the team, Derek Jeter. The legend, with 5x World Series Championships in possession, once during a podcast, revealed about his winning attitude. He almost said the same words as Judge, “Win or the season’s a failure.” This attitude shows the general desire for winning that skilled players possess inside them.

The result for the Yankees might have been different this season if their players were not on the injured list. The team started this season with a huge injured player list that only increased with time. Even Judge himself was added to the list and missed more than 50 games. He returned with his peak form, creating records and touching milestones, but that was too late. The Yankees had already messed up their season until then.

The 5x All-Star player lit up some hopes for his team, but again the Arizona Diamondbacks blew them out. With Sunday’s game lose, The Pinstripers lost the Season.

Arizona Diamondbacks Blew Out The Yankees, Shattering their Playoff Hopes

Win and defeat is the general rule of every game, and major leagues often turn wins into losses. That’s exactly what the Yankees witnessed. The 3-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks began with a blast, but the opponent soon made a comeback, closing the postseason doors for The Yanks. Tommy Pham and Christian Walker’s sacrifice fly, along with Evan Longoria’s two-run single, turn Sunday’s game into the worst game for the Bronx Bombers.
