The Mets’ star pitcher recently talked about the opt-out clause in his MLB record $43.33 AAV million contract. SNY Mets shared his conversation with their correspondent Andy Martino on Twitter.

According to SNY Mets, Scherzer said, “I’m not even thinking about opting out or opting in. I’m just thinking about playing baseball.” This is the attitude that most Mets fans will be hoping that he’d have considering that the team is aiming to win the World Series. Fans will be happy to know that Scherzer is focused on the upcoming season.
