First a baseball player and now a relatively successful businessman, but the shortstop still puts being a father as his first identity on his social media platforms. “The Captain” Derek Jeter has worked hard to reach where he is right now. No matter the circumstances, he never swayed away from his dream of playing baseball for the New York Yankees. His family has also supported him with everything they could, and he got almost everything he aimed for. But the shortstop is far from perfect.

He is much better than good in baseball, and he has proved it from time to time. But that does not mean he is great at every sport. The number 2 recently admitted in a podcast that he makes mistakes and so many of them. But he does not say anything about them to the World.
Nobody is perfect. Everybody has some kind of drawbacks that they don’t let out in front of others. It’s the same with Jeter. But the difference is that the athlete is at peace by not being good at everything.
How does Derek Jeter stay comfortable by not being good at everything?
The Hall of Famer, Derek Jeter, recently, sat down for a podcast with Angie Marinez. Thereafter, he talked about multiple things. How he felt it was okay for him that his daughters don’t know much about his career, the things that he regrets to this day, among other things as well.

During the podcast, Angie asked Jeter, if it was uncomfortable in any way to not be good at many things. As the answer, Jeter replied, “No, because I understand that in order to be good at anything, it takes time. You don’t just wake up, and you’re good at something, right? It takes a lot of work.”
The shortstop understands that there are failures on the way to reaching a goal. But the only thing person has to do is never give up and keep going. The shortstop has tried his hand at golf, but he is not very good at it. And he is okay with this fact.

This, is the thing that a person has to be comfortable about not being okay with some things. Because constant overthinking and trying to be good at everything can sometimes push us back in the race.
