He also set numerous records during his time in the league. But there is a stain on his career that will never go away. A-Rod’s use of performance-enhancing drugs will overshadow his achievements and might keep him out of the Hall of Fame. Rodriguez did receive some good news on the Hall of Fame front recently.

Alex Rodriguez is part of the 2023 Hall of Fame ballot

Alex Rodriguez has made the 2023 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. This comes after Rodriguez received just 34.3% of the vote from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWA) in 2022. To become a part of the Hall of Fame, a player must receive at least 75% of the vote within their 10 years of eligibility. To retain that eligibility, players have to receive at least 5% of the vote every year during the 10 years.

Since Rodriguez garnered 34.3% of the vote in his first year of eligibility in 2022, he will be part of the 2023 ballot. This is a good sign for A-Rod as it means that he will have another chance at making the Baseball Hall of Fame.

But it will still be difficult for him to get the votes in 2023 as his history with performance-enhancing drugs will adversely affect his chances. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see much of the vote A-Rod can get in 2023. Alex Rodriguez is the biggest name on the 2023 ballot and this may be his best chance ever.

Will A-Rod make the Baseball Hall of Fame?

Although Alex Rodriguez is only in his 2nd year of eligibility in 2023, it’s difficult to predict whether he will make the Hall. The BBWA takes the use of performance-enhancing drugs very seriously and players who use them usually don’t make the Hall of Fame these days.
