Speaking about his career on the Pardon My Take podcast, Jeter said, “I didn’t appreciate my career as much as I probably should have when I was going through it. You know it’s always because you heard me say in the documentary, ‘it’s always what’s next man, what next!’ Like you know you celebrate for a couple of weeks, then it’s we got to get on to the next one. So like I said, I think that’s just a character flaw of mine.” ?

Derek Jeter’s life after departure from the ballpark?

Jeter pulled down the curtains on his spectacular baseball theater in 2014. After retiring as a player, he joined the ownership group of the Miami Marlins in 2017. After a brief stint as the co-owner and the chief executive officer of the Marlins, he resigned in 2022. Jeter now lives happily with his wife and three daughters.?
