Aaron Judge signed a 9-year $360 million deal this off season following a historic 2022 season. But entrepreneur and investor Grant Cardone shed some light on the amount Judge will actually earn. Cardone broke down the amount of taxes that the Yankees captain will pay and the Government tax is shocking. On his YouTube channel, Cardone shared a video, saying that Judge will pay the Government approximately $20 million in taxes. This leaves the star outfielder with a little less than half his annual salary after other taxes are paid.
According to Cardone, “But the Federal Government and the State of New York are going to crush this guy. Probably 20 million a year, I would expect, somewhere about 20 million a year times 9.” This would mean that Judge would pay $180 million of his contract in taxes. Cardone put that into context by saying that the Yankees star would effectively be paying 4.5 years of his contract to the Government.

The Yankees legend actually had the chance to earn more money than the $360 million contract he signed and would have ended up paying more in taxes.
