It has been more than a year since Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez broke up with each other. But back then, when A-Rod and J.Lo were together, the two made quite a couple. Be it their name, fame, or even wealth, both were megastars in their respective fields.

“Alex and I are so disappointed!! We worked so hard the past 6 months with the dream of becoming the first minority couple and the first woman owner to buy her father’s favorite Major League Baseball team with her own hard-earned money,” Lopez said.

Not to forget that Cohen’s total net is over $16 billion, far more than the combined net worth of A-Rod and J.Lo (approx $750 million). And as expected, Cohen bought the Mets for a whopping $2.4 billion in 2020.

It is impossible to predict whether the New York Mets would have done better had Alex Rodriguez and J.Lo been the owner. But because A-Rod has played 22 years of baseball for a top MLB franchise, he would not have been a bad choice to own the Mets.
