The end of 2022 was anticlimactic, and disappointing for the New York Mets, who faced a rough disqualification in the wild-card round to the San Diego Padres. Consequently, Steve Cohen, the Mets owner, took it upon himself to prepare an unbeatable lineup for the upcoming season, and without any doubt, he’s done a fantastic job of doing so.

Especially after what the Mets have just pulled with the biggest shortstop Carlos Correa in the free market, there are signs indicating that no one can stop the Buck Showalter-led Mets.

Carlos Correa opted out of the three-year, $105 million deal with the Minnesota Twins after his first year. As a result, he entered the postseason as the biggest shortstop in the current free market. And he triggered a bidding war between the Cubs and Giants. Eventually, the Yankees and Mets entered the game, but the Giants almost sealed the Correa deal, until the Mets interfered again and the tide seems to be turning now.

As a result of the 12-year $315 million deal that the New York Mets have reportedly agreed to with the 2017 World Champion shortstop, the Mets feature a tremendous line-up, including various big names and star power. Jeff McNeil, Francisco Lindor, Pete Alonso, and Starling Marte are only among the few stars in their batting lineup.

After Correa’s signing, the MLB Network asked an interesting question through their Twitter handle. And fans reacted to whether the Brooklyn team has the “Best lineup in baseball.”

While there is no official confirmation of the Mets-Correa newborn relationship, it seems unofficially confirmed already.
