While Tito’s might and abilities extend to him being instrumental in breaking the resistant Curse of the Bambino after 86 long years, Terry Francona, affectionately known as Tito, still struggles to deliver his annual speech. And every time, it’s a brand-new, hilarious story that leads up to Tito’s annual address to his team.

Coupled with an already hysterical summer, where someone stole Tito’s scooter, or ‘Hog,’ the two-time World Champion manager reached Goodyear Ballpark in Arizona with a well-thought address for his team. However, things quickly went awry, and the entire incident quickly transformed into a comedy of errors.

The farcical confusion caused by a nervous and jumpy Tito led to complete chaos and an ultimate press conference, with him being soaked in sweat. However, the happenings that led to the eventual press address included eating uncooked pasta, a broken tooth, and spilled coffee.

While talking about the pasta he cooked (or didn’t actually) after skipping the dinner with coaches, Terry said, “I’m eating it and eating it. Well, the bottom of it didn’t cook. I felt something. And I’m like, nah, it’s raw. As I’m swallowing, I’m going, ‘God, that tasted awful.’”

He continued to joke, “I’m not sure what that says for the health of my teeth.”

As the night proceeded, chaos escalated with Francona spilling coffee all over his speech. “I spilled coffee all over my [speech]. I couldn’t get the printer to work. Nobody’s here to help because it was so early. I kept telling myself the day has to get better.”

Following the address of what Francona hoped to be a perfect speech, he admitted, “I’m sweating. Like I’m drenched.” And finally, after a long, long night, the skipper could sit at ease following his address to the team and the press.

Fans completely adore Terry Francona. Just like they attacked the thief who stole his bike, they had absolutely no complaints after this comic confusion. This is how fans reacted:
