Ain’t no party like a Texas party! In the locker room, Max Scherzer made sure to join the team in celebrating winning the series. A mandatory party for clinching the ALCS berth after over a decade’s draught. During the ALDS, Max Scherzer was unable to pitch for the Texas Rangers. On Tuesday, though, it didn’t stop him from partying like never before.?

Due to his ongoing shoulder issue, Scherzer was not included on the Texas Rangers’ ALDS roster. However, the MLB world witnessed Texas’s domination at the Global Field Park.?

The Rangers scored six runs in the first two frames off of Orioles starter Dean Kremer. Nathan Eovaldi, the Rangers’ Game 3 starter, gave up only one run in seven innings as the team won 7-1. Shortly after, a video of Scherzer dousing catcher Austin Hedges with champagne got popular on social media.

One of the major leagues’ most ardent players is Max. Scherzer, also called Mad Max has never been one to turn down a good party. This time he joined hands with Hedges. Scherzer, amidst his recovery, has already made references to a potential postseason comeback. After the victory, the All-Star pitcher was asked about his availability for the ALCS and said he was “in a pretty good spot.”

As one of the brightest presences in the team, he could not contain his happiness. After emerging victorious on Tuesday, he answered some questions. Not only that, he went on to add a few kind words about his manager Bruce Bochy.?

?[Bruce Bochy] is just a calming presence, and the team vibes with that,? Max Scherzer said in a video Fox Sports: MLB posted on Twitter. The Ranger?s accomplishment is even more remarkable considering that they have played four of their last five games away from home. How Bochy manages the team is quite interesting to know about. Whatever he does, he was able to end the 12-year ALCS draught for Texas! A great achievement in itself.?

As per ESPN, The Rangers struggle to put into words what it is about Bochy that sets him apart.?Outfielder, Travis Jankowski said about his manager, ?He obviously appreciates analytics and uses analytics. But he’s trusting his gut and his baseball instincts. We’re not computers. We’re human beings, and I know guys appreciate and thrive on being treated like one?. The fact that he frequently praises his preference for doing as little as possible is illuminating. Almost always starting the same lineup, he avoids getting in the way of the team until necessary.
