Another MLB Legend turning 50, and this time, it’s the Yankee’s former captain Derek Jeter. Not having any clue about the Pre-birthday bash, Jeter was amazed to see his wife, Hannah Davis, organize the party at the ZZ’s club in New York. Moreover, it was not just Derek Jeter and Hannah at the event, some of the most loved Yankees legends joined the pre-birthday bash. Starting from CC Sabathia, Bernie Williams, former manager Joe Torre, old friend Tino Martinez, and the Yankees catcher Jorge Pasada were also invited. 

Thanking his loving wife for organizing such a grand event, Derek Jeter took on social media, saying, “Great Night Celebrating, Thank you.” Meeting each other in 2012 in New York City through a mutual friend, the couple has lived together forever since then. 

Dancing to the rhythm of famous DJ Kid Capri, the guests snapped pictures with Derek Jeter and Hannah. Without a doubt, parties are incomplete without a birthday cake, Right? Well, Hannah went miles ahead when it came to designing a cake for Jeter. Jeter’s 50th pre-birthday cake was a special one where his entire career achievement was written on the cake. It was a World Series cake that was inspired by Jeter’s five World Series titles, which he won for the team.

More to it, Hannah included five stars right above the “DJ50” initials. Apart from Derek’s old friends who met him at the party, one of his close family members also greeted him. His sister Sharlee Jeter, the president of his Turn 2 Foundation, also celebrated his brother’s 50th bash. As for his fans, their wishes for Jeter poured in on his official social media handles.

Scouted and drafted by the Yankees in 1992 and debuting in 1995 at the age of 20, he proved to be a game-changer for the team. Over the span of over two decades, his performances peaked as the years went by.  Speaking about his achievements, he was included in the 14 All-Star selections, five Silver Slugger awards, five Gold Glove Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and the Roberto Clemente Award in 2009.

Adding to his list of astonishing hits, he was the 28th player in MLB to reach 3,000 hits. Finishing his career on a high, he ended up being only the sixth-ranked hitter and the first one between the shortstops. During the late 1990s and the early 2000s, Derek Jeter’s contribution to the Yankees was insane. He was the cornerstone of the Yankee’s success mainly due to his hitting, fielding, base-running, and sharp leadership skills. 

Eventually, he retired in 2017, having Five World Series under his belt, an achievement most players only dream of. As far as Derek Jeter’s pre-birthday bash goes, his wife Hannah seems to be in no stoppage mood. His 50th birthday is on Wednesday, and with such a grand celebration for his pre-birthday bash, Jeter can expect something more special for his birthday’s main event.
