In a stage dubbed as the Bronx, Derek Jeter first appeared in the starting half of 1995. From then, until 2014, when the final curtain was all set to close on the Yankee captain’s career, the bleachers made sure to not disappoint. And similarly, when the Yankees took on the Baltimore Orioles on September 25th at the Bronx for Captain Clutch’s last game, star-studded bleachers greeted the Yankees captain warmly.
The five-time World Champion’s final appearance at the Bronx housed various American superstars, including legendary rapper Jay Z, and television icon Jimmy Fallon, amongst many others, as reported by a USA Today piece from 2014.

Notably, at the big game in Yankee Stadium, in a Yankee hat was Jay Z, a longtime fan of Derek Jeter. The rapper also waited until after the game to meet the New York raised champion.

Alongside Jay Z was television icon Jimmy Fallon, who, until today stands as one of Derek Jeter’s closest friends.

Moreover, New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey was also present at the stadium, celebrating Jeter’s career, and cheering the Yanks, despite being from a rival team.
