Derek Jeter, who firmly stands as one of the best Yankees in modern-day baseball, was celebrated for the way he carried himself in the ballpark. Along with an extremely long list of accolades, the shortstop became a Yankee favorite in no time. However, even this fearless, confident, and bold captain always feared one particular thing, just like all other celebs do. In a 2004 interview with ‘The Playboy,’ Derek Jeter spoke about the one thing he would never do if we were alone.

During the 2004 interview, Captain Clutch was asked a question about him moving around by himself. The interviewee said, “Is it difficult for you to go out alone?”

How did Derek Jeter become so popular?

There is a reason everyone loved Derek Jeter. He represented a true New Yorker who perpetually stood by his stubbornness and consistent competitiveness. The shortstop entered Monument Park in 2017, followed by a record MLB Hall of Fame entry with a 99.75% vote in 2020.

Along with 14 All-Star appearances and five Golden Glove and Silver Slugger awards, the Yankee played an active role in the five World Championship trophies against his name.
