However, earlier this year, the Yankees legend created some sort of confusion when he put a different clubhouse jersey on his wall. Although he did not do it on purpose on creating any controversy or coming into the limelight, MLB fans went into meltdown after seeing a maroon jersey on Jeter’s wall.

Being an honorable man, all Derek Jeter did was it was to honor his legacy

Earlier this year, ESPN released a docuseries on Derek Jeter. The docuseries is said to be one of the best to date. However, apart from the docuseries, something else also caught viewers’ attention.

In an American Family Insurance commercial, fans noticed Jeter has a maroon jersey on his wall and it has “KC” written on it.

Since KC also means the Kansas City Royals in MLB, several MLB fans wondered why would Jeter put a Royals jersey on his wall. Because he did not even play for them.

However, the mystery ended when they found out that “KC” on the jersey meant Kalamazoo Central (Jeter’s high school baseball team). It was nice of Jeter that even after achieving the pinnacle in the game, he has not forgotten his roots.
