After having a profound career in baseball for over twenty years, MLB great Derek Jeter decided to hang up his cleats in 2014. After being retired for over eight years, he decided to make a comeback. He did so by showing up on the cover of the ‘MLB The Show’ limited edition video game. In the interview with Jimmy Fallon, in one of the show’s segments, the Hall of Famer made a rather peculiar confession about wearing a thong.
The kinky confession took place in the little segment of the show called, ‘True Confessions.’ Along with the host Jimmy Fallon and the British singer Rita Ora. Then came the turn of the former baseball player. He had to choose if what the singer said was a true confession or a lie. But who would have thought that the iconic baseball player would fail to distinguish between a truth and a lie?

In the game, people mostly confess things that are tough to believe. But that’s what makes the game interesting. And only because of this, the singer and Fallon both failed. They couldn’t guess if Jeter’s admission of wearing a thong was true or not.
When Rita’s turn came to pick up an envelope, she spoke, “One time, I had the paparazzi take me to the airport to catch a flight.” Notably, the five-time world series champ started asking questions such as, “Where did this happen?”, “You jumped in a car on a highway?” and then made his decision.
Then, after carefully considering every answer given by Ora, he said, “I don’t believe it.” Unfortunately, for him, under dire circumstances, she had to ask a paparazzi to take her to the airport to catch an urgent flight home. Thus, the archetypal Derek Jeter failed to diagnose a truth.
