Disney movies may have a reputation of being kid-friendly, but it doesn’t mean individuals past a certain age cannot enjoy them. In fact, there’s nothing quite like watching animated characters in magical kingdoms with a proclivity to break into song and dance. But former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has different Disney preferences, or rather, none.
Father of three young girls, Jeter is the ultimate girl-dad. From nail-painting sessions to hair and make-up with toddlers, the retired athlete has experienced it all. Jeter knows any given day may end with him covered in glitter, but he accepts it. One thing he cannot take any more of, however, is Frozen.

Since 2013, the iconic soundtrack from Frozen has been re-played thousands of times by kids and adults alike. If one says they’ve never had the song blasting from their car radios, chances are they’re lying. The powerful voice of Idina Menzel, aka Elsa, breaking free from the chains that have held her to Arendelle, is addictive to listen to. But apparently not to Derek Jeter.
The Hall of Famer recently sat down with retired footballer Nate Burleson and comedian Rob Riggle for an interesting discussion. The trio discussed red flags in individuals and dabbled in astrology. Near the end of the short video, the three men discuss ‘Let It Go.’ While it seems like Riggle and Burleson love the anthem, Jeter does not.
“I’ve seen that movie. Parts of it, because I usually try to fall asleep, and get some sleep while it’s on. But my girls have watched that movie a hundred times,” the former Yankee says with a pained smile. “I say it respectfully, but I don’t wanna see it anymore.” Clearly, an overload of Disney doesn’t work as a magic cure for everyone.

As older siblings are wont to do, especially big sisters, the youngest kid will certainly be following in the girls’ footsteps. Whether Derek Jeter likes it, who knows, maybe Kaius Green Jeter will love Frozen equally.
