On October 31st, 2001, the New York Yankees faced the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 4 of the World Series. The two teams were tied in the 10th inning until Derek Jeter stood true to his nickname of ‘Captain Clutch’ and smashed a home run. The Yankees won and Jeter earned himself a new nickname – Mr. November, because the clock had struck midnight. He has since achieved countless accolades and earned numerous titles. But one that he’s most proud of is how his non-profit organization has continued to grow.
The Turn 2 Foundation often joins hands with celebrities in order to bring awareness to their cause. Their aim is to turn kids away from unhealthy lifestyles to healthier ones. This time, the organization, as well as its founder, is collaborating for a musical night.
