John Cena, the man who spent decades hustling and just being the epitome of loyalty, just threw it all in the trash at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025.
With The Rock and Travis Scott by his side, Cena turned heel in a shocking moment and attacked the very undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. And this betrayal is having fans lose their minds. Even MLB analyst Jared Carrabis was taken aback like everyone else.
“A John Cena heel turn???!!! OMG,” he posted on X.

But then an even more unexpected challenge came along from a fan. “Explain this in baseball terms.” And Carrabis responded with a bang-on comparison. “Mike Trout demands a trade to the Dodgers.” Perfect, ain’t it?

For years, John Cena has been this golden boy in WWE, always doing the right thing. Standing by WWE through thick and thin with the rules. And the same is true for Mike Trout with the Angels. He is not just a talent; he is a generational talent, and not to mention, he has a huge fan base. Yet he has stuck around till now.
Granted, Mike Trout has had a series of injuries and issues. But the team itself as a whole is struggling, and yet he is still there. Now, imagine if he woke up one day and said, “You know what? I am done with this team; maybe I need a change; maybe I need to head to the Dodgers.” The literal modern-day baseball villains, which most fans claim.
That’s exactly what John Cena did.
Most WWE fans would feel like they are watching their childhood hero throw away everything great just to get that shot at glory before it’s all done. It’s surely what wrestling fans will talk about for years. Meanwhile, Trout was interestingly said or rumored to be traded off this season to other teams.
But seems like not just Trout but his team, too, is too loyal for this.
Mike Trout also made a big new move this season
Mike Trout has always been the face of the Los Angeles Angels. But over the years, he has not remained the same player he was—because of injuries. So, he made a big decision: Moving from center to right field. A bold move indeed because the last time he played right field was in 2012—his rookie season.
He had to make this call because he made it clear in a recent interview—he just wanted to play. Injuries had limited him to just 237 games over four seasons!

The center field demands a lot physically, and that was not cutting it for him. To extend his career and be healthy, Trout took this step. And he wasted no time to make an impact.

On Wednesday, he smashed his first home run of spring training against Bryan Shaw of the Cincinnati Reds. “It felt good. Just having some good at-bats, seeing pitches, and got a good result.” For him, at 33 years of age, staying healthy is the biggest challenge.
And Angels Manager Ron Washington went along with his choice because “Two things you want from your best player—performance and presence. I just want him in the ballpark, wherever we are, every single day.” Now with that expectation, hopefully, Trout can write a new chapter, except unlike Cena, with the same team.
