Home/MLB

Regular baseball season is back on. After a much-needed All-Star break, MLB teams are back on track for the second half of the season, and so are hosts and announcers. In particular, there is the FOX Sports crew, featuring?Alex Rodriguez?and David Ortiz,?as well as the latest addition?Derek Jeter.

Ortiz and Rodriguez have been hosting games for years, engaging in fun banter as former rivals. The duo has often faced each other in the storied New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox rivalry. But they’ve now put their past to rest and become great friends. Big Papi recently gave a shout out to his All-Star gang.

The 2023 edition of the Midsummer Classic was a big hit. The National League finally broke its 9-year-long losing record, beating the American League in an epic showdown. Elias Diaz earned the MVP title, only the 7th catcher in All-Star history. And watching it all go down from the announcer’s box was, of course, the FOX crew.

One of the team’s stylists, Victoria Trilling, posted a picture of the former baseballers and host Kevin Burkhardt sitting at a table with microphones in their hands. Ortiz re-shared the picture to his Instagram?story with Dr. Dre’s ‘Still D.R.E.’ playing in the background, simply captioning it,?“The team.”

A few of his previous stories include more pictures with the team that clearly show the amount of fun the four had. Interestingly, while Jeter is now learning the ropes of being a broadcaster, he had an exciting journey of getting to FOX.
