Needless to say, with his iconic talent and his unique pitch swing, Jeter became one of the best ever to step foot on the plate. Having won the hearts of countless people over his storied career, Derek became an inspiration for many. And now, following in his footsteps is none other than his loving nephew, Jalen Jeter. 

As known by many, Jalen has been showing his outstanding baseball skills on the diamond for quite some time now. And not long ago, when the younger Jeter came to hit in one of his games, the way he shot his pitch swing, it looked as if Captain Clutch taught him himself. Now, just days after showing his talents as a ballplayer, through his mother Sharlee Jeter, Jalen shared a four-worded life advice.

Just like Derek Jeter, who was immensely dedicated to his baseball career during his playing days, his nephew Jalen Jeter Martin seems to have the same mindset. And from the looks of it, his nephew Jalen is not only following his footsteps on the diamond, but in life as well.

Hence, taking to Instagram, Jalen’s mother, Sharlee Jeter, shared the four words of wisdom of her son. She posted a picture on her Instagram handle that said, “Don’t Think, Just Do! #JalensWisdomWednesday.” With this, she captioned it, “If it was only this simple #JalensWisdomWednesday #WisdomWednesday #WednesdayWisdom.” 

Following this mantra might not be as easy in life as it looks, but having a positive outlook on life never hurts. While Jalen has already proved that baseball runs in the Jeter family, does that mean Jalen will have a competitor in the next few years?

A competitor in the making?

For those unversed, earlier last month, MLB great Derek Jeter took it upon himself to announce the birth of his first son, Kaius Green Jeter. Being the private person that Jeter is, announcing the news, he showed a rare side of Derek. And if history has shown anything, Jeter’s family members have excelled at the game. 

Derek’s father played college baseball, and his sister Sharlee became a softball champion in high school. And Derek became one of the best. But does that mean Jeter’s kids, his three girls, and now Kaius will follow his legacy and become a competitor for Jalen? It’s a long journey, and only time will tell.
