Trading cards are on everybody’s minds at the moment. In recent days, some rare pieces have sold for millions. A few days back, Post Malone paid a whopping $2 million to buy a special card. New York Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez has now also joined the party while giving away some special memorabilia.

The trading card industry is booming at the moment and has grown considerably in recent years. This led to Malone’s 2 million deal and others paying millions for rare cards and memorabilia. 

Alex Rodriguez Autographed Many of His Baseball Cards

Alex Rodriguez built a legendary career in baseball. During his 22-year career, the Yankees legend had some really cool trading cards made after him. During a recent event, he signed what looked like a lot of his own trading cards for an event.

Rodriguez shared the moment in an Instagram Story for his 4.1 million Instagram followers. He seemingly wants to give supporters a memento involving his baseball career.

In the story, the video pans over a table filled with many cards that were signed. There are several styles and designs as well, showing A-Rod from different angles. To sign each and every card would have been a massive undertaking.

But it is something that Rodriguez is well used to, given his iconic baseball career. Being an athlete, it thrilled the Yankees legend to see himself on cards and other items. But the former superstar infielder once attempted to join the trading card business. Unfortunately, a deal never materialized for the baseball legend.

A-Rod Tried to Buy Panini Two Years Back

In Mid-July 2021, Alex Rodriguez tried buying Panini, the Italian card-making company. The former Yankees legend was negotiating a deal to buy them. Notably, a deal seemed in the works before it eventually fell through.

A-Rod lost the chance to invest in the card company in what was a sad situation. But seeing him preparing so many cards for fans, it seems unlikely that there is a long-lasting dislike for cards due to the incident.
