After battling for months, 12 teams overleaped others to make it to the postseason. Although it reduced the number of matches, there has been no shortage of action, whether on or off the field. It has further increased because of the involvement of three MLB legends: Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and David Ortiz. The same scenes unfolded this Tuesday after the Texas Rangers swept the Orioles for the ALCS. A question from Jeter stole the limelight, leaving everyone in splits.
Notably, Jeter joined the Fox Studio in June of this year. Although it was a different role, Jeter benefitted from his MLB experience and did well. But there are a few areas where the ex-New York Yankees captain still struggles. His old-timer question to fellow analysts reflected it, leaving him alone amongst the group. However, to everyone’s surprise, his former rival shared support, forming a unique moment, days after being shut down in the studio.

Derek Jeter’s arrival in the Fox Crew as an MLB analyst has created a unique trio in the box. It is all due to Alex Rodriguez’s allegiance to the Yankees and David Ortiz’s to the Boston Red Sox. Given the rivalry between the two teams, the conversation between the three brings out a competitive side to the picture. More often it’s Rodriguez and Jeter vs. Ortiz.

However, it was different this time because of a question from the ex-Yankees captain being new to the fold. Jeter enquired about an inside joke. He asked, “I need to ask one question though, because I am new here. I am new. So I need to ask this question. It may help out the viewers. What does Silem of the Lambs mean? What does that mean? Just so I just want to understand.”
The question was not what everyone expected and made them laugh. Alex Rodriguez also corrected his captain and said, “Silence of the Lambs”. He suggested it would go offline with Jeter and explain it. Though amidst all this, David Ortiz supported Jeter. He promised and said, “I forgot you knew here. I’ll let you know of the camera” But that situation was different days back. When Big Papi struggled on his meteorologist debut, Jeter shut him down.
Jeter was not happy with Big Papi?s debut as a meteorologist
It was another day of the famous trio in the office. Given the unique relationship they share, surprises were expected. The same followed when David Ortiz, also known as Big Papi, debuted as a meteorologist. He struggled badly and did not find support from anyone. Instead, Jeter trolled Luiz and advised, “Just sit down, man.? This brought an uninspiring end to his aspiring debut. But Ortiz did not follow the loop that he started with the worst gift.
He also shared his support, which can change Jeter’s approach in the future. What do you think? Will the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry continue or change in the future? Share your thoughts in the comments.
