The Coronavirus pandemic undoubtedly created a tough time in all of our lives. During that time, one thing that everybody needed was hope that everything gets better soon.? As the world suffered through the Pandemic, and people looking for an escape, the star of the popular TV show, ‘The Office’ actor John Krasinski, hosted a YouTube show called, ‘Some Good News,’ in 2020. For one of the episodes of the show, the actor collaborated with the MLB legend of the Boston Red Sox to give a special gift to the front-line workers.
The motive of that show was to focus entirely on positive and inspiring stories. On one of the episodes of the show, Krasinski invited members of the COVID-19 unit at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Who at the time were treating those affected with the virus.?
What was the surprise that the Boston Red Sox legend gave to the front-line workers?

For those unversed, the actor John Krasinski is a native of Massachusetts and is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. And so Krasinski called in Hall of Famer David Ortiz. But that was not the only thing the actor did to cheer up the medical workers.?

He had another surprise lined up for all of them. The Red Sox legend made the announcement of the second gift himself. He said that “everyone at Beth Israel”?would be receiving four free Red Sox tickets for life.?

Although it was not much, Krasinski and Ortiz did their part in bringing smiles to their faces. And at that time, when everything was falling apart, everybody needed a reason to smile. And they had just gotten theirs.?
When did the MLB legend become a part of Cooperstown?
The former designated hitter, Big Papi, David Ortiz, got eligible for election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. It had been only six years since he had retired from the game.?

But in the first year of his eligibility, he got 77.9% of the required 75% votes. And thus, the three times World Series Champion David Ortiz got inducted into Cooperstown in the Class of 2022.
