But during this series, the Mets took the chance to honor Dave Wills, a Rays broadcasting legend who dedicated almost two decades of his life to his craft. The Mets honored him by placing a picture of him along with a vase of flowers in the visitors’ broadcasting booth. Dave’s daughter Michelle Wills thanked the Mets for the gesture via Twitter.

In a Tweet, she said, “Thank you, @Mets???? we sure do miss that smile @etw219 @griff4750”. This was truly a classy gesture from the New York-based MLB team. But that isn’t all. The Mets also held a moment of silence for Dave, before their game against the Rays.
